Chinese President Xi Jinping announced on Tuesday that nothing will stand in the way of the mainland's reunification with Taiwan.

In his 2025 New Year address, the leader emphasized that no one can prevent China's "reunification," adding that Beijing and Taipei belong to the same family.

Last week, China imposed a new round of sanctions on United States military companies and individuals accused of selling weapons to Taiwan.
