WH wants public opinion on AI strategy
The White House is sharing on Thursday a call for the public to give its two cents on how the government should handle artificial intelligence (AI), Axios reported.
United States President Donald Trump recently signed a new AI order, revoking the previous one introduced by his predecessor, Joe Biden. The new order includes the "AI Action Plan." The White House now wants to hear from the public about what should be included in this plan so as to "define the priority policy actions," a document posted on the Federal Register's website showed.
"The Trump Administration is committed to ensuring the United States is the undeniable leader in AI technology. This AI Action Plan is the first step in securing and advancing American AI dominance, and we look forward to incorporating the public's comments and innovative ideas," Lynne Parker, principal deputy director of the Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP), shared in a statement.
