British Prime Minister Keir Starmer told Fox News' Bret Baier that any future deal about Ukraine must be a lasting one. Starmer repeated his previous comments about London's readiness to contribute to the ongoing diplomatic efforts to end the conflict.

On the other hand, Starmer underscored that Russian President Vladimir Putin cannot be trusted to keep his word. Starmer, who met with United States President Donald Trump at the White House earlier on Thursday, said that the UK would be willing to put boots on the ground and "planes in the air" as a part of a European peacekeeping force in the war-torn country.
