An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.0 was recorded near the coast of Bandon in Oregon, the United States Geological Survey (USGS) reported on Wednesday.

The quake's epicenter was registered 279 kilometers west of Oregon's city of Bandon, which has a population of 3,341. It was recorded at a depth of 10 kilometers at 1:15 pm local time (4:15 pm ET).

There have been no initial reports of casualties or damages, and no tsunami warning was issued by the US Tsunami Warning Center.
