United States President Donald Trump criticized Russia's latest airstrikes on Kiev, calling them "not necessary" and "very bad timing." In a message posted on Truth Social on Thursday, the US president urged his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin to stop the attacks and finalize a peace deal, warning that "5,000 soldiers a week are dying."

"I am not happy with the Russian strikes on KYIV … Vladimir, STOP! 5000 soldiers a week are dying. Let's get the Peace Deal DONE!" Trump wrote, emphasizing the urgency of ending the conflict as casualties rise.

His remarks come amid renewed international concern over Russia's military actions, which continue despite talks of seeking peace. The European Union, the United Kingdom, and France have also condemned the strikes, pointing to the growing gap between Moscow's stated interest in peace and its ongoing assaults on Ukrainian cities.
