Japan's gross domestic product (GDP) slipped 0.1% in the fourth quarter of 2023, the country's Cabinet Office revealed in its estimate on Thursday.

Year over year, gross domestic product reduced by 0.4% in the October to December period.

Quarter on quarter, domestic demand was down 0.3%, private demand declined 0.3%, and public demand reduced by 0.2%. Private consumption was 0.2% lower on a quarterly basis. Exports of goods and services grew 0.6%, while imports reduced by 0.4%.
