Kuwait's prime minister submits cabinet resignation to emir

Kuwait's Prime Minister Mohammed Sabah al-Salem al-Sabah tendered the resignation of his entire cabinet to the country's Emir, Sheikh Mashaal al-Ahmed al-Jaber al-Sabah.
This customary step follows the parliamentary elections held on April 4, as stipulated by Article 57 of Kuwait's constitution.
The current cabinet assumed office on January 17 of the present year and will continue to carry out its duties until the formation of a new government is announced.
