GM said to halt Cadillac XT6 production in Tennessee
General Motors Company will be stopping the manufacturing of its gasoline Cadillac XT6 at the Spring Hill Assembly factory in Tennessee toward the end of 2025, CNBC reported on Tuesday, citing an internal memo it obtained.
The media outlet added that the carmaker will prolong the production of a smaller crossover, named the XT5, until the end of 2026. A General Motors spokesperson commented that the decision wasn't made in the wake of the most recent United States tariffs. It was further explained that the move was made as "part of the brand's previously announced plans to offer a full lineup of all-electric cars, crossovers and SUVs."
For the XT5 in particular, "strong customer demand" was said to have been behind the decision to extend its production.
