At least four people were hospitalized on Thursday after an active shooter was reported at Florida State University in Tallahassee.

The university issued an emergency alert, urging students to shelter in place and canceling all classes and university events for today. The local police department responded to the call and stated that it is "actively engaged in the incident."

The incident comes only two days after four students were injured in another active shooter situation at Wilmer-Hutchins High School in Dallas, Texas.
