ByteDance, the parent company of TikTok, is reportedly valuing itself at approximately $300 billion, one of its highest valuations to date, despite the potential threat of a US ban on the popular app, as reported by the Wall Street Journal, which cited individuals familiar with the matter.

Sources revealed that this valuation emerged from a recent buyback offer from ByteDance, significantly surpassing the nearly $225 billion valuation presented in a tender offer to employees in October 2023.

The media added that investors are optimistic about US President-elect Donald Trump's return to the White House, seeing it as a favorable development for TikTok's prospects in the country. Furthermore, The Washington Post reported that Trump might take measures to prevent Washington from implementing the ban on TikTok in the coming year.
