United States stock market indexes traded higher on Tuesday following a mostly lower open, as strong corporate earnings helped lift investor sentiment. The possibility of US President Donald Trump easing auto tariffs also contributed to market optimism.

At 1:51 pm ET, the Dow Jones increased by 0.87%, or 350 points, the Nasdaq 100 added 0.54%, and the S&P 500 increased by 0.60%. The euro traded 0.21% lower compared to the dollar, selling for $1.13975 a minute later.
