Lebanon's Public Works and Transport Minister Ali Hamie told Al Jadeed News that Israeli naval commandos captured a civilian man in northern Lebanon.

Hamie identified the man as Imad Amhaz, a ship captain who was studying at a naval institute, denying the reports that incorrectly labeled Amhaz as a Lebanese Navy officer.

His announcement came after Saudi news outlet Al-Hadath claimed Amhaz was affiliated with Hezbollah, though Lebanese sources provided conflicting accounts of his military ties.
