Canada and Mexico are excluded from US President Donald Trump's global 90-day tariff suspension, CBC News correspondent Katie Simpson reported on Wednesday, citing a White House official.

Earlier today, US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said that both countries were part of the 90-day pause and universal 10% tariff. Further, both countries are still subject to the 25% tariff on non-USMCA trade that Trump previously imposed, but they will not be hit with an additional 10% baseline tariff.
