Business description
SalMar ASA is one of the world’s largest and most efficient producers of farmed salmon. The company was founded in February 1991 and owns 100 licenses for marine production of Atlantic salmon in Norway. Its principal producing region is located in Central-Norway (Trøndelag and Nordmøre), further operations are located in Northern-Norway (Troms and Finnmark). The company also owns participations of large fish farming producers in Iceland and Great Britain.
