Business description
Hermès International SA is a business group, operating in the production of high quality fashion items. The product portfolio includes leather goods, scarves, ties, women's and men's clothing, perfumes, watches, jewelry, notebooks, hats, shoes, gloves, home textiles and tableware. Hermès products are sold through two separate distribution channels: the company-owned stores; and the concessionaires and specialised distribution networks, which mainly sell perfumes, watches and tableware (wholesalers). Thierry Hermès, a harness-maker, set up business in Paris in 1837. Ever since, his descendants have worked to build up the Hermès Group. Today, Hermès has more than 300 exclusive stores, over 200 of which are directly operated. The head office of Hermès International SA is in Paris,France.
