The fund mainly invests in inflation- linked government bonds denominated in any currency. These investments are from anywhere in the world, including China and other emerging markets, and some of them may be below investment grade. The fund generally favours direct investment but may at times invest through derivatives. Specifically, the fund normally invests at least 70% of total net assets in inflation-linked debt and debt-related instruments, including convertible and covered bonds, and money market instruments. The fund may invest directly, or indirectly through the Bond Connect programme, in the China Interbank Bond Market. The duration of the portfolio may vary over time and may be negative in some circumstances.
