United States Federal Reserve Chair Janet Yellen said on Wednesday that she hasn't seen any indications that the Trump administrations policy changes, specifically the tax reform, will affect the consumer and business confidence.

Yellen claimed despite predictions that consumer confidence will be pulled back by the policy changes, "household and business sentiment remain quite strong" and based on her "observation of actual spending behavior," she doesn't "expect any significant pullback."

During the press conference following the latest interest rate hike, the Yellen claimed she intends to complete her term which is set to end in February 2018, but refused to comment on the possibility of serving a second term as the Fed chair. She noted she hasn't discussed "future plans" with President Donald Trump.
