The White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said on Tuesday that the United States administration is actively engaged in trade talks with numerous countries.

"There have been many talks with countries. We have more than 15 deals, pieces of paper put on the table, proposals that are actively being considered," Leavitt said at a press briefing.

The press secretary added that over 72 countries contacted the US over trade negotiations after President Donald Trump announced global retaliatory tariffs. "We do believe that we can announce some deals very soon," she concluded.
