Wall Street rallies at close as Dow gains 120 pts
US stocks closed higher on Tuesday, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average rising more than 100 points and the S&P 500 rebounding from Monday's losses.
During the session, West Texas Intermediate crude futures dropped nearly 5%, easing pressure on energy stocks that had slumped earlier. Tech giants Nvidia and Broadcom led the surge, each rising more than 2%. Investors remained focused on Middle East tensions, but rising bond yields fueled market volatility, with the 10-year Treasury yield reaching its highest level since August.
At the close, the Dow Jones gained 0.30%, and the Nasdaq 100 added 1.55%. In both indexes, Intel was growing 4.07%. Finally, the S&P 500 rose 0.97%, as Palantir advanced by 6.56%. The euro was flat against the dollar at 9:59 pm ET, selling for $1.09768.
