Major stock exchanges in the United States traded mostly higher at the close on Wednesday as data showed that inflation in the country cooled in February, with annual core consumer prices at their lowest point since 2021. The news seemingly took some attention away from the raging trade war.
The Dow Jones dipped 0.20% at the close, with Procter and Gamble down 2.74%. At the same time, the Nasdaq 100 surged 1.13% and the S&P 500 traded with a 0.49% gain. Tesla was the best performer on both indexes, jumping 7.59%.
The euro traded 0.25% below the dollar at 3:59 pm ET, going for 1.08914.
