Vladimir Klitschko (pictured), boxer and brother of Kiev Mayor Vitaly Klitschko, claimed on Thursday that "there are no Nazis" in Ukraine.

"Russian propaganda lies to its own people. Nazis are allegedly in Ukraine, but we have a Jewish President," Klitschko told Bild and accused Russian President Vladimir Putin of being a Nazi himself as he is the one who "is killing the people." Klitschko added he wants the conflict in Ukraine to end as soon as possible.

Russia has insisted the goals of its operation in Ukraine are "demilitarization and denazification" but stressed it does not want to overthrow the current government.
