US Defense Secretary, Pete Hegseth, reaffirmed Washington's commitment to its Asian allies during a visit to the Philippines amid rising tensions with China and North Korea.

"What the Trump administration will do is deliver, is to truly prioritize and shift to this region of the world in a way that is unprecedented," Hegseth said at a news conference in Manila.

He also promised a strategic pivot to the Indo-Pacific region, including deploying new antiship missile systems for upcoming joint military exercises.
