Department of Defense (DoD) Secretary Pete Hegseth's chief of staff, Joe Kasper, will reportedly leave his post in the next few days for a new position at the department amid an ongoing DoD leak probe, according to Politico, citing a senior administration official.

Additionally, senior adviser Dan Caldwell, deputy chief of staff Darin Selnick and Defense Secretary Stephen Feinberg's chief of staff, Colin Carroll, were all put on leave.

Last week, the US DoD Office of Inspector General announced it has launched an evaluation of Hegseth's reported use of a "commercially available messaging application for official business."
