Ulm police arrest man behind hostage-taking in Starbucks

The law enforcement department of Ulm, a southern city in Germany, announced on Friday evening that it arrested an armed male who held at least four civilians in a Starbucks shop on Muensterplatz street.

Namely, the perpetrator was apprehended when he attempted to flee the scene taking one of the hostages. The police confirmed that none of the hostages were harmed.

Earlier, local media reported that several people were being held hostage at a Starbucks shop by an unknown person.
