UK producer prices up 0.1% in December

The headline rate of inflation for goods coming out of factories in the United Kingdom stood at 0.1% in the twelve months to December, the country's Office for National Statistics (ONS) said on Wednesday. The figure marks an increase from November's revised annual decline of 0.5% in output prices.
The largest upward contribution to annual output inflation came from coke and refined petroleum products, with a contribution of 0.57 percentage points. On a monthly basis, the output prices were up 0.1%.
Meanwhile, the producer input prices slid 1.5% in 2024, but rose 0.1% in December on a monthly basis.
