NTSB will 'leave no stone unturned' in crash probe
National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) chair Jennifer Homendy (pictured) pointed out during a press briefing addressing the collision involving an American Airlines commuter aircraft and a military helicopter that "no stone will be left unturned" as they delve into the details of the midair accident.
"We're here to assure the American people that we are going to leave no stone unturned in this investigation. We are going to conduct a thorough investigation of this entire tragedy, looking at the facts," Homendy said on Thursday.
Officials added that flight data recorders have not been recovered from the crash scene yet as they are likely underwater. Earlier today, US President Donald Trump announced the initiation of an investigation concerning the incident involving the agency, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), and the US military.
