Euro area's trade surplus up to €16.4B in November

The international trade surplus in goods in the Eurozone stood at €16.4 billion in November, up from October's revised figure of €8.6 billion, but down from €18.2 billion registered in November 2023, Eurostat revealed in its report on Thursday. The surplus in the entire European Union in the reported month came in at €14.3 billion, down from €17.2 billion recorded in the same timeframe in 2023.

In the euro area, exports amounted to €248.3 billion in November, down 1.6% year over year. Meanwhile, imports to the region declined 1%, compared to the same month a year ago, landing at €231.9 billion.

In the entire EU, exports stood at €223.1 billion, recording a 1.2% fall on an annual basis. In comparison to the same period in 2023, imports to the bloc grew 0.1% to €208.8 billion.
