Netanyahu: Israel won't 'capitulate' to Hamas demands
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated on Monday that his government has no intention to "capitulate" to Hamas' demands, after the militant group said it will release all hostages in exchange for Israel's full withdrawal from Gaza.
"As your prime minister, I will not capitulate to murderers who committed the worst massacre against the Jewish people since the Holocaust. Capitulation like this will endanger the country," Netanyahu said in a video message.
The prime minister further said that Israel cannot agree to Hamas' conditions until it frees hostages, and then return to the war, because the international community would not allow it, and slammed those who push for such tactics for not understanding how international relations work.
