Billionaire Elon Musk stated on Monday that the xAI developer tool is "for improving and understanding large AI models." His comment on X, formerly known as Twitter, came after the launch of the PromptIDE by xAI.

According to the company, "the xAI PromptIDE is an integrated development environment for prompt engineering and interpretability research. It accelerates prompt engineering through an SDK [software development kit] that allows implementing complex prompting techniques and rich analytics that visualize the network's outputs."

Moreover, the IDE is developed "to empower users and help them explore the capabilities of" large language models (LLMs)," and it is expected "to build a community," as users can share "publicly" their prompts.
