MAPFRE S.A. is an independent Spanish business group that operates in insurance, reinsurance, financial and service activities in more than 100 countries worldwide. They offer a range of products available to individuals, professionals and businesses, with the aim of offering them complete protection against all the risks they may face, and a solid response to managing their future needs. In addition to insurance, MAPFRE is involved in a range of activities in the fields of reinsurance (MAPFRE RE), assistance and service provision (MAPFRE ASISTENCIA) and also offers corporate solutions to businesses (MAPFRE GLOBAL RISKS). The majority control of the latter is held by FUNDACIÓN MAPFRE, a private foundation which undertakes non-profit activities through five specialised institutes (Social Work; Insurance Science; Culture; Prevention, Health and Environment; and Road Safety).
