Manchester City beat RB Leipzig 7-0 in the second leg of their round of 16 tie of the UEFA Champions League to progress to the quarter-final with an aggregate score of 8-1.

The English champions took the lead in the 22nd minute when Erling Haaland scored a penalty that was awarded following a handball from Benjamin Henrichs. The Norwegian forward went on to score a hat trick with two more goals in the first half.

Manchester City continued their dominance in the second half as Ilkay Gundogan got his name on the scoresheet in the 49th minute and Haaland scored his fourth and fifth goals of the night in the 54th and 57th minutes of the game, before being replaced by Julian Alvarez on the pitch. Kevin De Bruyne set the final score with a goal in added time.
