After the merger with Cytos Biotechnology Ltd in 2016 the Kuros Biosciences Ltd is developing innovative products for tissue repair and regeneration. Founded in 2000 as a spin-off of the Eidgenössische Technische Hochschule Zürich (ETHZ), Kuros has developed a pipeline of products based upon its proprietary technology platforms. These platforms were developed from work carried out at ETHZ, at the University of Zürich and at the California Institute of Technology (CalTech). In addition, in early 2017 Kuros acquired Xpand Biotechnology to gain access to its MagnetOs family of bone graft substitutes and the associated surface science technology.
