Russia intercepts most Ukrainian drones in Volgograd region
Russian defenses intercepted most of the Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) that attacked the region of Volgograd, according to Andrey Bocharov, the governor of the region.
"Tonight, the air defense forces of the Russian Defense Ministry repelled a massive UAV attack on the territory of the Volgograd region in the Kotovsky, Gorodishchensky, Kalachevsky districts and in the southern part of the city of Volgograd," Bocharov wrote on Telegram, adding that most of the drones were intercepted and neutralized.
A fire broke out in the Krasnoarmeysky district as a result of the drone debris, though it has since been extinguished. According to the governor, there have been no reports of casualties.
