Deutsche Technologie Beteiligungen AG (DeTeBe), with headquarters in Gräfelfing near Munich, acquires majority holdings in medium-sized companies in technology and growth areas. DeTeBe commenced its business in the year 2004 and currently holds shareholdings in five companies after the sale of the shareholdings in Bautest GmbH and COW lifting technology GmbH. With the IPOs of its stockholdings, Plan Optik AG and InterCard AG Informationssysteme, DeTeBe has already placed two of its companies on the Open Market (Entry Standard) at the Frankfurt Stock Exchange. With its focus on participation in small and microcaps, DeTeBe sets standards in a new market segment. Unlike classic venture-capital companies, DeTeBe only acquires majority holdings and concentrates from the start on the profitability of its stockholding. Further growth and additional innovations are financed from profits. Unlike classic private-equity companies, DeTeBe also invests in small companies with a correspondingly low investment volume. DeTeBe only invests its own capital. It does not administer funds. DeTeBe does not make use of acquisition financing, guarantees or banks to finance its transactions. The company's growth strategy is based on a number of premises. DeTeBe bundles the growth rates of the firms concerned in its portfolio. It is constantly on the lookout for new holdings in order to enlarge its portfolio, and the holdings themselves are also supported in the acquisition process.
