ERAMET S.A. is a French mining and metallurgical group operating internationally and made up of subsidiaries split into three business divisions: ERAMET Nickel, ERAMET Manganese and ERAMET Alloys. ERAMET’s Nickel division is a fully-integrated producer that extracts nickel ore from its mines in New Caledonia and transforms it locally into ferronickel (FeNi) and nickel matte at its Doniambo plant. The nickel matte is then transformed into very high-purity nickel metal and salts at their Sandouville plant in France. ERAMET Manganese, through its subsidiary COMILOG, is the world's second-largest producer of high grade manganese ore. COMILOG operates the mine at Moanda in Gabon. Once extracted and prepared, the ore is sold to consumers in markets that use manganese, mainly in the alloys and chemicals fields or it is processed in the Group’s plants into alloys to meet the requirements of steelmakers customers. ERAMET's Alloys division designs and develops high-performance steels, tool steels, parts and products in high-speed steels, superalloys, aluminum and titanium alloys. To do so, the Division's sites deploy various development and transformation methods. The materials and products designed are then used to supply high-technology markets such as aerospace, energy, nuclear, medical, automotive, etc. ERAMET is also studying or developing major projects in new metals with high growth potential such as lithium, niobium and rare earths, as well as in recycling. The Group operates in 20 countries on five continents and is headquartered in Paris, France.
