China's State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR) revealed on Friday in a statement that it is starting an investigation into DuPont China Ltd.

The company is believed to have allegedly violated China's anti-monopoly law, SAMR said, adding that the probe is being carried out "in accordance with the law."

Dupont De Nemours Inc.'s United States-listed stock slid 9.27% in the premarket following the news.
