The corporate object of Bankinter, S.A. comprises banking activities. In addition to the operations which it carries on directly, the Bank is the parent company of a group of subsidiary companies dedicated to a variety of activities (mainly asset management, credit cards and the insurance business) which, together with the Bank, make up the Bankinter Group. The group offers telephone banking, e-banking and internet and agency networks. With bankinter.com, Bankinter's internet brand, the company offers a wide range of financial products and services and a multitude of products in addition to routine banking operations. Bankinter offers products, services and information for its Customers and Internet Users from its pages located under the domain bankinter.com, broker.bankinter.com, empresas.bankinter.com, comparador.com, and movil.bankinter.es. Bankinter, S.A. was incorporated by public deed executed in Madrid on 4 June 1965 under the name Banco Intercontinental Español, S.A. Its name was changed to the current one on 24 July 1990.
