Business description

Akzo Nobel N.V. is one of the largest global paints and coatings companies and a major producer of specialty chemicals. The activities are divided into the areas of Decorative Paints, Performance Coatings and Specialty Chemicals. The portfolio includes brands such as Dulux, Sikkens, International and Eka. In December 2016 AkzoNobel acquired BASF's Industrial Coatings business, which supplies a range of products for industries including construction, domestic appliances, wind energy and commercial transport, strengthening its position as the global number one supplier in coil coatings. The roots of AkzoNobel date back to 1871 when KemaNobel was founded in Sweden. In 1994 merged Akzo with Nobel to the new company Akzo Nobel N.V. Akzo Nobel N.V. operates in more than 150 countries and is headquartered in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
