Russia has violated the Easter ceasefire over 2,000 times today, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky claimed on Sunday. The ceasefire, ordered by Russian President Vladimir Putin, is set to expire at midnight local time. The violations included 1,355 instances of shelling and 67 assaults, Zelensky said.

He confirmed Russia has so far refrained from air strikes. "Hence, this is a format of ceasefire that has been achieved and that is the easiest to extend," Zelensky concluded, reiterating his offer for a 30-day truce that would ban strikes using long-range drones and missiles on civilian infrastructure. "If Russia does not agree to such a step, it will be proof that it intends to continue doing only those things which destroy human lives and prolong the war," Zelensky said.
