Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced on Saturday in a post on X the deaths of 11 people in a Russian ballistic missile strike on the center of Dobropillya in the Donetsk region.

"After our emergency services arrived at the scene, they launched another strike, deliberately targeting the rescuers. This is a vile and inhumane intimidation tactic often used by the Russians," Zelensky wrote. "More than 30 people were injured, including 5 children. Eight five-story apartment buildings, an administrative facility, and a fire truck were damaged," he added.

Zelensky stressed the importance of Ukraine strengthening its air defenses and tightening the sanctions against Russia as means of undermining Moscow's war effort.
