Vance arrives in India for Modi meeting
United States Vice President JD Vance and his family arrived in New Delhi on Monday for a four-day visit during which he will meet Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
According to the White House, Vance and Modi are set to "review the progress in bilateral relations." The two are also set to discuss efforts to reach a bilateral trade agreement during US President Donald Trump's 90-day tariff pause.
Earlier this month, Trump announced a 26% reciprocal tariff on Indian goods, but days later temporarily lowered the duty to 10% to allow for trade talks. India is reportedly among the list of Washington's top priorities when it comes to countries with which it hopes to make a trade deal.
