UnitedHealthcare said to offer buyouts to benefits unit staff
UnitedHealthcare Inc. gave some employees in the benefits operations unit the option to receive buyouts if they leave by March 3, CNBC reported on Wednesday, citing two sources familiar with the matter.
The news outlet noted that those who do not accept the offer will remain in their current positions or will be transferred to a comparable role. "If the company does not reach the established resignation quota through buyouts, it may proceed with layoffs," according to the report.
"This voluntary option is part of our ongoing efforts to ensure our team is best positioned to meet the evolving needs of the people and customers we are honored to serve," a UnitedHealth spokesperson told CNBC.
