North Korea fired multiple suspected short-range ballistic missiles into the East Sea on Thursday, South Korea's Joint Chiefs of Staff said.
The launch comes weeks after North Korea fired several short-range missiles in March, coinciding with joint US-South Korea military exercises.
South Korean authorities said they're analyzing the missiles' specifications, including their type and range.
