United Nations (UN) Secretary-General Antonio Guterres called on Tuesday for a ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon, according to his spokesperson Stephane Dujarric.

In a statement, Guterres underlined that Lebanon's "sovereignty and territorial integrity" must be respected, underlining that an all-out war cannot happen.

His comments come as tensions between Israel and Hezbollah continue to escalate, with the former conducting "limited" operations in the areas along the Lebanese border. In addition, media reports also stated that Iran's attack against Israel is coming soon.
