Trump unveils new DoJ and FRA appointments
United States President-elect Donald Trump announced key appointments for his second term. Chad Mizelle will serve as chief of staff at the Department of Justice, working with Attorney General nominee Pam Bondi. Mizelle previously held roles as general counsel and chief of staff at the Department of Homeland Security during Trump's first term, where he focused on border security and combating illegal immigration. Trump called Mizelle a "MAGA warrior" committed to accountability and justice.
Trump also named Aaron Reitz as the next Head of the DoJ's Office of Legal Policy. Reitz, currently chief of staff for Senator Ted Cruz, previously served as deputy attorney general in Texas under Ken Paxton. Trump praised Reitz as a constitutional defender and legal strategist.
Additionally, Trump announced David Fink as Administrator of the Federal Railroad Administration (FRA). With over 45 years of experience in transportation, Trump said Fink is expected to prioritize safety and innovation in the rail industry.
