United States President-elect Donald Trump's team is looking to resolve the war in Ukraine in six months, as opposed to the "24 hours" he promised during the presidential campaign, the Financial Times reported on Thursday citing European officials.

According to the news outlet, to European allies, this was a sign that he would not be ditching Kiev straight away. "The whole [Trump] team is obsessed with strength and looking strong, so they’re recalibrating the Ukraine approach," one of the officials told FT.

Another official revealed that, in recent weeks, the Trump administration shared it is yet unsure how to approach the whole situation, adding that support for Ukraine will continue.
