Former United States President Donald Trump promised on Tuesday while speaking in Palm Beach that if elected he would "seize the assets of criminal gangs and drug cartels."

These assets would then be used to create a "compensation fund to provide restitution to the victims of migrant crime," Trump explained, adding that the government would help with the restitution as well.

The ex-president commented that gangs operating in the US are taking large sections of towns and are going into "real estate business."
