Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated on Saturday that 2025 will be an important year for the issue of Iran's nuclear program.

Araghchi made the remark after meeting with Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Secretary-General Zhang Ming. However, he did not elaborate on how 2025 could be significant for the matter.

Araghchi's comments came ahead of the inauguration of United States President-elect Donald Trump, who promised he will lead a "maximum pressure" policy against Iran to thwart its nuclear developments.
