Former United States President Donald Trump did not reveal whether he will concede the election if unsuccessful in his bid to return to the White House after the upcoming presidential election in November.

"You had a peaceful transfer of power," Trump said after being asked whether he was ready to commit to encouraging a peaceful transition. The Republican nominee continued by repeating his earlier allegations that the 2020 election was "crooked."

The former president also described the January 6 protests as peaceful and went on to say that a "lot of strange things happened" inside the capitol building in Washington during the protests.
