The annual inflation rate in the Ku-area of Tokyo came in at 1.8% in October, dropping from 2.2% in September, the Statistics Bureau of Japan said in its report published on Friday.

The Consumer Price Index (CPI) excluding fresh food and energy, stood at 1.8%, higher than last month's reading of 1.6%, while the figure excluding only fresh food also came in at 1.8%, lower than the 2% registered in the previous month.
